loc tite on plugs, thats crazy who gave you that bit of advice????????

I'm guessing you're confusing regular Loctite with Loctite Anti-Seize...

That is like using super glue for sex lube!

A little NeverSieze on the threads.
A little silicone grease on the boot to keep it from sticking and waterproof it.
