Didn't think so Sooee.

You guys are lucky.

My '05 ran flawlessly but all this EPA junk is just messin' with most 2006's.

my 06 runs fine with just a d/l. I get about 150 miles out of 3.7gls of fuel maybe a pop on decel everyonce in awhile. Doesn't seem to be running hot. I'm very pleased.

I was told by the two dealers that the cable is matched to the SERT and that if the cable is lost, the SERT would need to be replaced if you ever needed to adjust it. Is this true?

Sestreet,

I think that maybe you misunderstood, the software is tied to the ECM in you bike. The cable is only used transport the data from the PC to the ECM. It is just a connector like your gas line to your carb. Oh thats right in this case it would be the fuel injectors. There is no way that you can only use one specific cable with each SERT. It just some wires and connectors.

Hey guys,

I too am a little concerned about the download as well. Seems like it's a crapshoot on whether the bike will run correctly or not after getting the d/l. Have been leaning towards the V/H fuel pack along with the BigShot Longs and an air cleaner. If I make these changes myself, do I need the d/l or will the fuel pack do the same thing?

As of now there is no map for a fuelpak with a stage 1 d/l. If you're going with the fuelpak I would suggest not getting the d/l. But the d/l is cheaper and it's covered under HD warranty.

05 Road Glide, SE slip ons only. Rode in a "Patriot" ride in 40 degree weather. With all the low speed riding, bike starts idling low, cutting out, appeared to be running hot. Installed SE ac, power commander with map for my specs. Bike now idling a little bit low, blip the throttle, coughs every now and then. On a trip, got 41 mph. Bike getting dyno'ed to day. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Each bike is different.

They are full of BS. They are just cables and the SERT is the only thing that is married to your bike and only your bike. My cables would work with your SERT and yours with mine.

It is the cable that ties the SERT to the bike. That black box on the serial cable is your huckleberry. I heard there's a crack to reset this box and use it over and over again. Anybody know for sure?
