Default HELP - SERT Trouble

Can anybody help me - Was uploading a new map, com 4, Belkin Adapter, read ECM Data, started upload and it got to 70% and stopped. Now I don't get any information when checking ECM data. Hit download, goes to 3% and stops. Check all connections 3 times. Get a message that if I close the program it will not be able to restore. I cannot figure out how to restore. Can anybody help. TIA.

Does the bike start? You might try cycling the bike off and on. Also make sure the map you are loading is saved to disk. Do you have a copy of the map that was on the ecm? You might try downloading that instead.

I can't get the computer & ECM to communicate so I guess I will pull the ecm and drop in at the local harley shop. See if the digital tech will reprogram the ecm.

Try the restore function (you did save the original cal, right?). Restore will usually work in this circumstance. After restore is successful, try programming the calibration again. If you can't get the restore to work either, then you might have to have the ECM reprogrammed by digital tech, or contact TTS for other options. What is the bike model, and what calibration were you trying to install? Gary

OOPS, I see this is a SERT, not a TTS SEST. Probably will mean a trip to the dealer to reprogram the ECM. --Gary

From the Help Menu in the Race Tuner Program.

If the programming failure occurred at 30% or less, the ECM ‘flash’ memory is not erased and the vehicle should start and run after cycling the battery power (see Recovery Procedure 1). The new calibration will not have been downloaded to the ECM and the user will have to retry the programming.

Remove ignition power from the vehicle:
· Cycle the ignition power switch OFF.
· Wait 10 seconds and turn it back on.

Thumbs up

Thanks to all who offered advice. Was able to find the recovery steps in the help menu. Being the error occured at 73% install, I went with recovery 2. Disconnected the negative battery terminal for 10 + seconds, reconnected, was able to get ECM information, went to program, got to 73% and got error message. Repeated above, but before installation of new map, turned ignition off, diconnected connector from bike, reconnected, turned ignition and run switch back on. Hit program ecm and uploaded new map. Now I need to get some gas and fire my new build off and see how it runs

From 88 to 95", Andrews TW26a cams, new lifters, SE tapered adjustable pushrods, heads ported, 1.90 intake.
