Default Power Commander III question

Just installed PCIII on my 07 street bob. Got it from FuelMotto. Told them I have a V&H Phythons and the new Big Sucker by SE. Installed and bike fired up good. Let it run for a bit and then gave it alittle throttle. Still going good. No white or black smoke. Then noticed rear pipe next to head is RED HOT. Front one is normal. Is this normal?

Yes that is normal.. The new harleys tc88 or tc96 don't need to idle very long at all until the pipes will start to glow cherry red at the heads.. It is best to not idle these bikes very long at all unless you have a fan blowing on the engine to keep it cooled down.

Something you could try is adding 5's in the 0% throttle postition for the idle RPMs. You'll need a laptop to do it. That might cool it down a bit. I've done that on my maps and it seems to help. More than likely Fuelmoto's map has zeros in the 0% throttle position.

This is absolutely not normal. What you are describing is cylinders that are not balanced for fuel delivery. When your Harley first starts it is on the warmup enrichment circuit, meaning it is dumping more fuel. If your pipe is glowing then the fuel adjustment for that cylinder is not right. I would either call Jamie and try to trouble shoot it with him or get the bike to a dyno tuner and get it tuned.

I have a PCIII on my 00 EGC, I have never had my aft pipe turn RED HOT, no matter how long it has sat running at idle.
