Default Garmin NUVI 350 Power Hook-Up

I have an 07 Heritage and would like to hook the power supply wire up to the accessory power so the transformer will not kill my battery. I don't know the best place to pick up that power from and don't want to just splice into anything Thank in advance for any help.

you can grab the orange/red and black wires from right behind the headlight. should be tied up behind the headlight with red and black caps respectively on them.

Thank's Todd, So the orng/red and black would be fused wires in the headlight circuit or would I still have to install my own inline fuse?

you most certainly ALWAYS want to add your own fused link to any accessory you put on your bike, but to answer your question; the orange/red wire is fused on the accessory circuit, not your headlamp circuit.

If you are using the Garmin cigarette lighter adapter which lowers the voltage to the GPS it has a built in 1 amp fuse behind the center spring loaded terminal.

That's where i'll pick up my power from with an inline fuse. Thank's again that sounds easy enough.

I am using a power wire from RAM that came with the mounting bracket. It has the transformer inline that connects directly to the battery with no adapter.
