32107-01E:
Box is 02/08/06
CD 32117-01G
Hardware 32114-01A-SUBA 02/08/06 T-038

Looks like the T 009 vs T-038 may be of significance.

I purchased my E in March

ORIGINAL: oldfartjc

I just looked at everything that came in my SERT box 32107-01D. The box shows a manufacture date of 01/09/2006 so it was less then 3 weeks old when I purchased it to use on my new RK, so this SERT was still being shipped in Jan. 06. The CD in the box is 32117-01F. The hardware inside the box (The interface module)also shows a date of 01/09/2006 and Part# 32114-01A-SUBA on it's box and also on a sticker on the module. There is also another number on the sticker on the outside of the box # T 009. I would say that if the "E" hardware has the same numbers on it then there was no change to the hardware, only the software. So someone with the "E" SERT look at the hardware and tell us the number and date of manufacture. This might tell us if the hardware has changed. Obviously the dealers don't have a clue which is par for the course as I told them about the 25° injector bulletin which they hadn't seen yet back in February when it first came out.

When Revision "D" was designed, the programmers failed to load in ONLT the FLHTXI VIN's.. That is the ONLY BIKE that cannot work on revision D.... The revision can come straight from HD, or you can have your dealer acquire it for you...

All Revision "E" is, is the updated software, with the FLHXI VIN's....

SERT Certification..... There is NO SUCH THING!!!!!

It is the Technician that get QUALIFIED and trained on how to operate and apply the Tuning Software.... The Techs are not Dyno Trained at this Class, but they do operate it, to apply what they have learned... These Techs are Expert level and above (Look at the patch on their sleeve). Most Master Techs have gone through it... But ask if the Tech that is doing the work on your bike has been trained for SERT and Dynomometer Operations... What's the worst they can tell you... No, no one here has... OK, so you leave and take your business elsewhere... Maybe the shop will get wise and get the Techs PROPERLY TRAINED....

Not all shops that have Dyno's are trained on how to operate them, or blessed by the respective manufacturer.... As an example, Dynojet has a specific criteria that they "Bless" certain shops... Mainly that the Tech or Techs have been PROPERLY TRAINED, and know HOW TO TUNE as well as what to look for...

howdy guys,I own 06 stbob and dyno guy tried to hook up sert with d version and could not get them to talk to eachother. He rang head tech in australia and was told it was the wrong part #.I took sert back to dealer and they changed it over for the E version when they got it in 2 days later.I thought bugger the dyno guy and hooked it up myself.Within 10 mins of hooking up i had downloaded the file i wanted with no hassles at all.The bike runs bloody great.hardware pt#32114-01A-SUBA T-074

That is exactly what I thought is that the CD would be the only difference in the Rev. "E" version of the SERT. Being a computer tech. now for over 41 years I have seen more different software and hardware revisions then I even want to think about. Thanks for your input which should definitely clear up this discussion on the difference between the two SERT Rev. numbers. I can tell already that you are going to be a very valuable member of this forum.

Thanks for the great replies folks! Turns out I have the 01E cd rom included in a box labeled 01D. I was wondering how they could load a map at all...

Box Reads 37107-01D dated 9/19/05
CD Reads 32117-01E

I am thinking I am good to go now...

Ok I have to ask what exactly dosen't work? Maps wont upload? You can't edit maps? Nothing works?

I was told the hardware is the same its the software thats diffrent. SO if you (or the dealer) have the new software it will work fine. So if the dealer you took your bike into used someone elses disk, it should of worked. I was told this from a buddy of mine who is a parts manager at a HD dealer...
