When I get my bike I plan to have them instal the HD alarm w/the paging system. I also want to put in a proximity sensor so the alarm is sounded if someone comes within a few inches of the bike. Would HD's alarm be able to support this or should I have an aftermarket alarm system installed instead? Thanks.

HD's alarm is only compatible within it's own components... The TSSM is the heart of the system, and then you have the add-on siren and/or pager... To put in a proximity alarm and attempt to interface it could, not saying it will, but it might cause more problems than what they are worth, unless you are going with a set-up that IS COMPATIBLE with HD's TSSM system.... If they cannot validate or verify, and the system needs to be spliced into your already exixting harness, I would be VERY Cautious....

 

Thanks, do you know if there are any that may be compatible? Or would I be best off installing an aftermarket alarm w/a proximity sensor and not using the HD system at all?
