Default Help with SEST

Just finished my HQ107ST build. Went to flash ecm with a map supplied with the kit and the screen says "selected file is not compatible with ECM". I was told if this happens to copy and paste values into another map. I can copy the values from good map, but can't get the paste function to work on second map?? I'm not really computer savvy so I assume it's operator error. Maybe some one can point me in the right direction as the roads are dry and I'd love to go seat the rings. Thanks Russel

Why don't you just put all the values in manually.

All you may need to do is disconect the VCI from the bike and restart the SEST program. Then reconect the VCI and load the map. I have had this happen to me a few times where I did not disconect the VCI after loading a map. Went to load a new map and got the same error message.

Thanks for the replies. It turns out the map I was sent was for a newer ecm. Map description showed ecm part #'s (didn't see at first). I found a map (#81) that was close to the unmodified version of the map I was sent and would load into my ecm. Then I could copy and paste modified map values into that map and reflash. It's supposed to be 36 degrees and clear today so I'm going out to seat the rings. The bike sounds pretty healthy and I'm stoked.
Russel
