Default Turn Signal stays on but not blinking

Searched the archives but came out empty handed. Problem: I switched turn signals to smoked lenses, front and back with amber bulbs using OEM set on my '05 RKC. Not sure when it started but front left stays on constantly. Not blinking just on steady. Will still work when turn signal switch is activated and will blink. Once turn signal is cancelled light goes back to steady on with no blinking. Noticed after first washing but I didn't douse bike, though did use a cycle dryer (air blower) to dry off bike. Not sure if related or just when I noticed the problem. Any ideas my two wheeled brethren?

I just went out and looked at my bike and when the key is on, both front turn signals are illuminated. Problem might be with the bulb in the right one. I think the fronts say on all the time, the back ones, only when you have your turn signal on. If you check the right one and the bulb is OK, then it could be a problem with the flat socket being turned slightly. If that is the case, you need to pry out the reflector and socket from the housing and turn it to the correct position. Good luck.

Gentlemen, You may both be on to something. When I put these on I noticed that one bulb had only one contact point while the other 3 had 2 points each. Tonight I will mess around with them and put the one point bulb if it is in front right position, into one of the back sockets and see what happens. Thank you both and I will post here tomorrow with results. Thanks again.

Hawk's right, the front should have two the rear should have one. Sounds like an easy fix.

I have the same problem. I switched to amber bulbs and smoked lenses. Previously.. my stock orange lenses and clear bulbe blinked perfectly. After installing the amber bulbs, my right blinker blinks really slow and my left blinker lights up but it doesn't blink.
Any ideas??
