Default No brake light...please help!

My 1995 Softail Springer (FXSTS) is having a small problem..it has no brake light. The rear light lights up but it does not get brighter whn I hit the foot brake, or the hand brake. I checked to make sure the controls on the handle bars were working proper, and everything looks great. Please help. Luke

If it's not working with either the hand or the foot, the first thing I would check is the bulb.

The brake light is two filament: one stays on for running the other will illuminate when either front of rear brake switch is engaged.
