2000 Ultra Classic won't start
Problem: Friday I started it and it idled a minute or so and it and quit.
Started it again and the same thing happened. Third time I keep it
running and rode it a few minutes and everything seemed okay. Saturday
morning it was slow to start and quit a couple of times while idling. Rode it
again and everthing was okay. It started right back up.
Sunday it would not start at all and there is no fire going to the plugs.
The Engine lamp comes on when the ignition switch is turned on and goes
out as normal; however, once I try to start it the light comes back on and
stays on or blinks which I believes indicates a problem with the engine
management system. The light will do the same thing after I turn on the
ignition whether I try to start it or not.

RE: 2000 Ultra Classic won't start
There is a starter relay behind the fairing on the right side that goes bad (it's a known issue), many carry a spare. I had the same problem and got stranded at near dark. Also with mine I found a hot wire that had come out of the male plug the relay plugs into...it about drove me nuts as it acted like an intermetant short. The part is cheap and the counter people almost know it by heart, I think...the part number is M923006.

Check your trouble codes. Turn the ignition on for four seconds; then off for four seconds; then back on again. You'll then get a rapidly blinking light. Next it will blink out the code. Count the blinks. Each code is two digits, so it will blink one; pause; and then blink the next digit. If there are no codes, the rapid blinking will repeat itself. If you don't get the initial rapid blinking, you counted to four wrong.
If you don't have a service manual, post the code, and I'll tell you what it is. Then get a service manual. My first guess right now is crank sensor.

Finally had to give up and take it the the Harley Dealership and it turned out to be the Electronic Ignition Module which also was the
most expensive item that would prevent it from firing. Thanks Uncle Peepers for the offer to help but it was already in the shop but
what you said made sounds right.
