Thats in line with my data also. My average cruise range is about 36kpa. I am located in SW Ohio. Note Kpa is dependant on elevation.

thanks for the info, ive solved the pinging issue by pulling timing and adding fuel in the 70

kpa range, but the biggest help was upping the accel.pump table a few steps!!!

From my Post # 781

Review of my Datamaster File for areas 'I ask for it' TPS% greater than 40 all fall out of CLB as the MAP is 90kPa+
Half smile riding where TPS% > 15 but less than 40% are averaged about 65kPa (+/- 10)
The rest is cruising with MAP averages around 36 kPa

How does the mastertune work with and open loop system? No O2 sensors etc....?

In my opinion the Mastertune would be overkill on an open loop system. I personally would just go with a PCIII or something similar.

In open loop w/o O2 sensors you would really need to dyno tune in order to calibrate your bike properly. Vtune, which is what we use to calibrate our volumetric efficiency relies on that O2 sensor data pretty heavily. With out it we could only make assumptions and generallities. That dyno tune sniffer will take its place and with that sniffer the bike could be calibrated and tuned just fine. Once your base was established it would be set until you did another significant modification that would require another dyno.

Default vtunes...

...does the "vtunes" come with the package or is it a separate item to be ordered?

I agree. You could also find an older SERT and have it tuned as well. Every once in a while you can find a bargain on ebay. The advantage here is that you wouldn't have a "piggy back" device and the bike would likely run better overall.
