Yes... the baffle size.


I put on a class today and we tuned a 103 with a VH 2-1. What baffle? Holy cow it was like a straight pipe. Only got 3 extra HP and 4 TQ. There was no way to tune the 103 Stage I with no restriction on the exhaust.

bet that sucker sounded great in that closed-in dyno room! LOL

Made 3 runs yesterday, resulting changes are noticeable on the VE tables and the bike is running better. How much does outside temp effect vtuning? Yesterday's ride was 40-45 degrees. Would a vtune on am 80 degree day give different results?

Cold air is denser so your bike will run better in cold weather. A colder motor runs better than a hot one. However, it makes little difference at 80*. Tuning at 100+ maybe.

that's what your MAP and IAT sensors are for. Tells the ECM to change things up a bit depending on temp, humidity, elevation, etc. Really it's barometric and manifold pressures but those things are derivatives of weather and altitudes in general.
