Wiz, appreciate the reply......My first objective (if possible) is to get the rings seated using the 3rd gear 30-60 RPM x 10, BEFORE doing a series of longer Vtune runs. Is there any advantage to doing the cam tune followed by a quick garage Vtune (idle or low RPM) ? Would this get the mixture close enough for the break in?
I guess what I'm asking is if it's possible to get the fuel mixture close with a very short Vtune for the RPM range I would be in for the 30-60 break in (1K - 3.5K RPM). thanks for your advice

Sorry I missed your post about upgrade software coming. Makes me feel a little better.
what Wiz is telling you is that updates are certainly available for the black VCI and they will continue to be as long as TTS decides to update it but the newer features such as flight recorder, vtune3 (when it comes out), etc. will not be available for your device.

I think TTS is working on a trade-up program but the details are unknown. Best thing to do is call Vickie at TTS and inquire about it if you're wanting to upgrade to the blue VCI. 310-669-8101

As stated. Do the cam tune first. Then VTune. If you change your cam tune settings during VTuning then you must start from scratch.

After the cam tune take the calibration Steve wanted you to use and follow the directions to make that calibration into a VTune calibration. Take a few short runs but keep it under 3000 RPM's until you get the VE's set right. Then get up to 4500 RPM's as you put some miles on that motor.

How you break in your motor is totally your call but I would never take a new build to a Dyno until I know it's well broken in.

I asked about 3 weeks ago and Steve said you will know when you run updater and it shows up. He was very blunt about not releasing anything until it's 100% ready and to say a possible date wont happen. I admire his passion and confidence in his product.

There was a partial test of the software but it was about 6 months ago and only one facet just to see if it would work with the TTS Analyzer.

However the, if you want to call it, Beta doesn't work anymore due to recent changes in the TTS software.

There is still no release date given. Steve is still working on that and getting all new 2014 calibrations with different cams as of today.

That's all I know to date.

Quick question, reviewing my data runs and vtune. The o2 sensor data in the 3d visualizer has the numbered scale to the right, what do those numbers represent. They don't seem to match up to the voltage for the o2 calculator.

Thanks

vertical axis is your VEs for whatever cylinder you're on
horizontal axis is Throttle Position Sensor %.

the chart to the right simply shows a color-coordinated VE chart to reference your VEs in the vertical axis.

Nutz, thanks. So if the x axis is map, and the y axis is engine speed, and the z axis is o2 front sensor, it still shows the the ve tables? Trying to figure this out. If the z axis is one of the ve's I understand that, but o2 sensors or the o2 integrator that is another measure of ve's? Thanks for the help.

Read through a lot of this but can't find info on what base map to use for woods 555 cam. 2013 limited with 555 cam, se air cleaner, and Thunderheader. Stock heads. I spent the day cam/ vtuning off the calibration for the 255 cam ( DUH009-03) but the duration is very different between the 2 cams. Just doesn't seem right. Any ideas on a better base map? Using the blue dongle tts. I did try the duh044 but the throttle response was terrible. Any words of advice?
