There have been folks use team viewer for this, but I cannot speak directly to the issue. I used a 7" monitor hooked to the laptop and watched the Histogram directly.

It HAS been done successfully... I'm just not the one to ask is all.

The biggest deal IIRC was setting up the Ad Hoc network using wifi from the laptop. But... I am not 100% sure on that.

When these conversations were happening on other forums... I tuned out. I did not, myself, start using TV until late 2012, to save myself from just that drive to Kansas.

Team viewer can and will run in the background. This depends on how you install it.

You can set an owners password that will work with your ID if you want to remote into your computer at any time. (IF you have the owner password)

Each time the computer is rebooted the outside team viewer password changes.

You can install it on your computer as many of us have or you can "run" it on your computer. If you "run" it there is no owner password to contend with and it does not run in the background.

You can set up your smart phone with team viewer and set your laptop to use and view your smart phone screen. Problem is... when you are out gathering data and get a phone call the screen view is broken and there is no way to return to that view.

In case of phone calls and texts I could set airplane mode on to suspend that and then turn the wifi back on for connection to the computer.

A 7" screen would be great, but for the home tuner I think a mount and the ability to use a smartphone for a screen would be a cost effective alternative.

Looking at Ultra's link to teamviewer I think this could be done pretty easily.

Thanks guys.

But I wasn't ready to buy yet.

Best price I've seen so might just have to get it.

The whole post I was talking about is gone now. Must have been bogus??

I have an 01 Ultra with the HPI MM conversion ( 51mm intake) with street port heads, 97" BB cylinders and Woods TW5G ( 575 lift) cams, with Rhinehart true dual headpipes with Cobra 4" mufflers and 2" baffles. Just installed a Screamin Eagle Race tuner for 99 - 01 Hd's and wonder if this can be upgraded to the newer TTS? I bought the unit and ECM both from my buddies 01 RKC when he switched to the Thundermax MM conversion.

to my knowledge the TTS only works with the Delphi systems so as long as you have the Delphi, you're good to go.

... and the newer TTS works with the Delphi ECM from 2001 and up but not the MM injection.

I'm pretty sure the old SERT upgrade to the TTS upgrade has gone by the wayside and is not available anymore anyway.

Thanks guys, I was afraid I was late to the party. My bike is a California bike built in York and has an early Delphi ecm, but had the MM injection on it until I replaced it Friday with the HPI 51mm intake.
