Hi UN
I had a look at the front 02 and did what you said with the paper clip and the sensor seems to be right in the air flow as the bung is only just over 3/8 deep. It was a bit hard to measure with the headers on the bike but I got a piece of wire into the front header.
I also found a exhaust leak on the crossover pipe so that wouldn't have been helping.
Sorry I thought I had posted this but Im still trying to figure out how this dropbox works

However, if I did in the end decide to make it run a little richer, what's the best way to do this?
As PT stated, there really is NO reason to increase the fuel across the board. This type of 'carburetor' thinking is outmoded with todays EFI systems, and all it would serve is to waste fuel and make the bike run like ****.

Again... think about what has been said... timing is the biggest contributor to heat... NOT how much fuel. The true temperature difference, coming out of the exhaust port is less than like 100* per a whole AFR unit. Not enough, or too much timing, OTOH, really can whack exhaust temps.

Using most of the TTS base maps should cure most of this. I find the TTS timing maps to be quite decent, if a little conservative. When done with v-tune runs... doing timing runs is very important and the TTS manual gives a good explanation on how to proceed.

Or... wait a bit and V-Tune3 will be released and that has a feature to tune timing while tuning the fuel. Pretty slick.

Dude... you do NOT wish to simply increase fuel across the board. The biggest falicy going on is richer is cooler. That is only true to a point. TIMING controls heat output.

running good but has some dead spots down low
Doc
I think the dips you're seeing down low are simply your pipe configuration. Other than "seeing" the dip on the graph, how does it feel?

kiwi.. highlight all the red cells in your timing tables and drop them by 3* and make a run. lets see what that looks like.
