I am fixing to up the compretion to forged 10.5-1 and install the MVA heads. Is this a good combo or should I look into something else? I want to keep the bike reliable for long road trips. But would like to have a little more snort in the low end.
MVA heads will require pistons designed just for them. I have MVA heads on my 120R, but that engine was designed around those heads. For a street/touring bike??? If it was me??? I would have my original heads reworked and buy a 107 kit from someone and be done.

Default Base Map for FXDC w/Thunerheader

Does anyone have a base map to start with for a 2007 Super Glide Custom, bone stock - adding BigSucker AC and Thunderheader 2 into1.

Thanx,
Mike

Thanks for the advice. I just talked to a builder and he wants me to pull my heads and jugs, send them to him. He will rework the heads with bigger valves, a different valve angel, flow bench the heads and get .010 over 10.5:1 forged pistons and fit them to the bore. Will be considerably cheaper than MVA heads and piston. I leave to the middle east in a couple days so i had better get to work.

Do you mean a donor calibration or chose a starter cal from their software?

Really doesn't matter which you flash as no calibration will be exactly what you need as you will need to use the VTune software to set your VE tables.

If you are given a donor cal then it is possible you continue with their mistakes.

Wiz, I've looked at the different maps as a starting point but when I find one that's close it's for a TBW. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to this stuff so any help you could give me would be fantastic.
Thanks

Sorry for the delay, got really busy around here. Life kinda gets in the way. I used the Cam Analyzer and got a 5 for IVO. The cam numbers I found online (2 different ones) and using the estimator called for a 2 or a 3 in the IVC. So I went with 3 because it was a high 2 or low 3.

So my cam settings are 5 and 3 and I have done 2 vtune runs under 3500 rpms. Got to download a program to my wife's iPhone so I can view the data live as I collect it. Want to get as many green boxes as I can in the next few runs and also raise the rpm's to get more usable data.

Will update when I have some more data runs under my belt.

Thanks
Glenn
