Its a serial to USB converter cable in that kit. It WORKS. The only other cable folks say that work for usb to serial is the old Belkin 409... with driver updates, etc.

The TTS supplied cable is best by far.... no driver updates needed for Win 7/ Vista.

The new dongle is USB to USB. But it is that old style square USB found on printers from ten years ago. Steve says that square design was the best choice for durability available. I LIKE serail cables better, and so does Steve... but a canbus can output more data than a serial cable can handle, so he uses USB 2? Something like that to gather all the data from the can bus.

I swapped out cams from the Woods TW6-6 to the TW-777. As you can see the IVO on the TW6-6 should be set to 3. I'm not sure why but I was surprised the TW-777 IVO looks like it should be set to 2, but 3 also looks good. Any reason I shouldn't go to a setting of 2 based on these charts?

You can use 2 or 3. Which ever one makes the bike smoother. Sometimes you just have to tune both to see/feel the differences. Sometimes there are no differences as the valve is actually opening in between 2 and 3.

Actually if you run a ruler or even a straight piece of paper on your TW6 picture it shows a slight inflection at 2 it's just not as noticeable as the 777 so both could be run at 2 no problems.

I have a 2008 Roadglide with the 103" and SE255 cams. I've noticed over the years the starting sometimes requires another attempt. Has anyone tried changing the cranking fuel schedule and/or the IAC schedule in an attempt to help the starting process????

Before you start to make table changes, make sure...(a) the battery is still providing good service, (b) you're not letting off the starter button just a bit too soon, and (c) things like sparks plugs aren't worn beyond their service limits.

Maybe even a compression check is in order.

Good luck!

Default Record Vtune Data

I'm okay with the map i have in right now. I want to see if i can make it better though. Can i just record Vtune data directly off this map and then Vtune it? Also, does Vtune look at and change all tables?

Battery lives on a battery tender when home and new plugs recently. Only 30,000 miles and burns zero oil on a long trip.... I'll watch my thumb on the button.....

Yes with an "*" - remember, no data will be collected in those cells left in open loop.

You might also have some issues if you don't change the accel enrichment or PE settings as suggested in the tuning guide.

No, just the VE tables for the most part.
