well if it has a 2.1 factory header somebody had to put it on. the flhtc came with 2.1.2 headers. I would check under the right side panel to make sure who ever did the switch did not muff the O2 sensors up. ALso they may have fubared the O2 sensors themselves by putting anit seize on the probes and not just the threads. Lots of people screw upthe sensor front to back because even tho in the manual it tells you back is black the photo shows the front and back reversed from what is actually on the bike so if people just look at the photo in the manual they can get them messed up. I agree you need to get the codes sorted before trying to move on.

I thought it a bit odd to be throwing those codes like that.
I will say, when i stopped to stop data collection, both times, the exhaust smelled like an old junk car...smelled way rich. Would a too lean / too rich read cause a code?
on the pipe deal--
Are you sure the 2010 came with the 2-1-2?
It seems like every thing ive read said they were 2-1 that year, with the big *** hot CAT right by my foot...
Not doubting you, but thats the first time i heard that.
Thinking about it, i dont recall seeing a cop bike with 2-1, but i really dont look at that specifically.

I have a 100% STOCK 2010 FLHTCU and the pipe is a 2-1-2. Old mans bikes kept the 2-1-2 that year, and the sportier bikes got the 2-1.... like the FLHXs and Road Toads, etc.
The sensors are an EASY fix if you see they are backwards... all one needs to do is unplug under the right cover and plug them in correctly. Trace the wire by hand from the pipe to the connector as they MAY be plugged in correctly, but in the wrong holes.

Then I shall defer to both of you gentlemen....
I am ill informed, clearly.
I sure would've prefered the 2-1-2...
I bought the bike in June from Dallas HD, local LEO bought it as a leftover in April, then had them do a complete workover to "change" it into a streetglide.
He picked it up 2nd week of may, traded it 2 wks later for an actual street glide (huh??).
Based on receipts dealer gave me, he spent a boatload in short order...
So...I guess as part of that, they changed pipes.
And the result of that action....
mtclassic nails it..
O2 Sensors wired backwards..!!
From dealership.
So, my question is:
why would that affect anything?
