I just completed my first vtune run and I'm trying to determine how to look at the histogram when using an .mt8 file. When I try to open, it only will accept .mt7 tunes. Also on the Front and Rear O2 activity, they stayed green never alternating b/w yellow/green.
Looking at the histogram is through the datamaster part of the program and won't have anything to do with the map. Are you talking about vtune not accepting an MT8? o2 activity staying green just means they are active but strange that it doesn't blink the odd yellow. I looked though some data files and it looks like they only blink yellow when the sensor voltage drops.

mine also stay green and Steve Cole said it was a glitch on the cals for 2011 maybe newer bikes and would not hurt anything.

I am trying to convert the vtune run to a tune file that I can load back on the bike. When I open vtune, it asks for 2 different files one of which is the mastertune file. Maybe I misunderstood the instructions.

The Master Tune file is the one you loaded to the bike and then did a vtune. The Data Master file is the the last vtune completed to generate (if accepted) to generate a corrected Master Tune file.

Hope that helps!
That's my problem, it only wants to let me load an .mt7 file and the base file is an .mt8
guys--
just so understajnd what the final objective is--more or less-- what VE numbers am I looking for on my vtune run?
I have some cells that are red and in the 50's & others that are red and over 100...
and thats the 2nd run....
any suggestions on this would be appreciated!
thanks
I think you need to get a lot more of the cells filled in before you generate a new tune, to many yellow and unmarked cells. the 20 thru 70 kpa cells are fairly easy to get filled in and you should concentrate on getting a good looking histogram,
