We tried a different USB cable, tried another computer. Checked the cable pins and the ECM pins/connector. I can only imagine you also checked with your second dongle cable by now....

So... let's try something else.

Put the new dyna TTS on your CVO and see if you can connect and see the ECM. As long as you don't try to flash the CVO ECM you will not harm the new TTS or marry to it. Any TTS can view DTC info and or record data or view the serial number on any other ECM without being married to it...

If the TTS will recognize your CVO then you've eliminated the computer, all cables and the new TTS. That would leave what we discussed.... the ECM pins.

It was "on"... MBlaster and I were on the phone and I even got into his computer... the com port is OK but the ALDL is not being recognized similar to the Run switch being in the off position.

I've never seen a bad TTS or even a bad SERT that was straight out of the box new. I guess it could happen but if it was a bad VCI it would be a rare case.

Make sure you are using the correct connector on the bike. Some models have two identical 4-pin connectors and if I recall correctly, the one under the seat is for accessories only and the one under the side cover is the one you use for data.

Already did Gary....

It's just weird. (used connector with three pins, not four) MasterBlaster is no dummy, he knows this pretty well. We have common friends so we chatted to get it working.

If the system works on his CVO then I think I understand what's going on.

Haven't seen you around for a while... Hope you are well.

...Worth a try, have seen this many times! sounds like it may be a dud interface or cable, but checking it on another bike will rule that out.

been busy...Chop wood, carry water!

Thanks gents for all the suggetions, I just tried the Ultra same result no com. Only thing it could be besides is the cable that connects between the bike and the tts module. Or the module itself. I am going to get to reading troubleshooting part of the manual

I have had one where the module was the problem. Lucky I had more in the drawer.
