TTS Tuner vs. Thunder-Max

TTS Tuner vs. Thunder-Max
I've got my eye on both right now...I like that they're both closed loop, and especially that TMax has that autotune feature...but then I'm not sure if TTS beats out TMax in terms of the overall number of really good features. TTS is a bit cheaper, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the most of it without a dyno since I haven't really tuned before.
Talk to me.

For me it would be (was, actually) between the DTT TCFI and TTS tuner. I prefer the TCFI over the TMAX for several reasons, but the main one is that the TCFI uses the MAP sensor for its ignition advance control while the TMAX uses it for nothing.
I went with the TTS tuner because I really like the Delphi "Ion Sensing" combustion monitoring system, which neither of the other two systems utilizes. What's more, the TTS tuner has an autotuning feature in its Vtune software which can get the VE tables nearly entirely properly populated. It's not something that is constantly in service like on the other two systems, but that's not really necessary anyway. Once the VE tables are populated correctly, the stock Delphi system is more than capable for any modifications I ever plan to make.

Just installed the T-Max. I did lots of research, especially this forum and came to the conclusion that I didn't want to be too hands-on in the tuning process with TTS. That may be fine with some people and exactly what they want, so that's OK. I also like the fact that whatever equipment changes I make I won't need a dyno. The T-Max seems to have all the versatility and the bike screams! My only regret is i didn't pull the trigger on it months ago.

That's my primary concern...I haven't tuned in the past, and I wonder if the TTS or new SERT will be over my head even if I read the manual front to back 3 times. And I also wonder if I'd actually utilize some of those extra features that TTS has which TMax doesn't....I really don't know when I would.
Let the machine figure it out.

The TTS tuner can autotune in much the same way as the Tmax if it's used on an O2 sensor-equipped engine. The main differences are that it's a couple-step manual task and it won't do 100% throttle.
Once the VE tables are proper for your very engine/equipment, the current Delphi method of "autotuning" will always be operational, and in exactly the way it was designed.
