Default rear tail and running lights out

Hi All,

Learned the my rear taillight is out along with both running lights. Brake light comes on but no running lights. Blinkers still work as well. Wondering if this might just be a fuse out since the brake/blinkers still work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Have you checked your "Lights" fuse yet????????

All those lights share the same fuse...

the only "running light" back there is the tail/brake light, 1157 dual filiment bulb. Change it.

Did you get this figured out? I just noticed the same problem (thanks to a courteous cager) but won't have a chance to troubleshoot for a couple of days.

The turn signal bulbs are single filament and only operate when the turn signal switch is engaged. The tail light bulb is dual fillament and work as a running light and a stop light. A blown fuse would insicate no lights in all modes. Change your tail light bulb.

robzuc97... that unfortunately is an incorrect statement....

The BRAKE LIGHT Circuit is on the ACCY circuit, and all other lights (H/L, T/S, etc...) are on the LIGHTS Circuit....

Take a look at your fuse panel....

Default My bad!

True enough: misunderstood & thought it was the turn signal and tail light not working (also was working without a schematic). O/W wire supplies power form the ACCY fuse and the black is ground and are common leads for both fender tip running lights and brake running light circuit and numerous other circuits, such as turn signals, horn, etc. Brake light runs off the red with yellow (R/Y) wire circuit from the stop light switch. Looking at the schematic, I would check the front fender bulb to see if it's blown since turn signals and others are not affected, then check the O/W wiring from the ACCY fuse box for power to the rear fender or work from the fender to the fuse using voltage drop method until you locate the fault.
