I have the smooth gauge with the 6 blue LED lights. When I fill up the tank, my low fuel light comes on. Once I have ran about 1 gallon out, it goes off. Has any ne else had any problems with these lights?

Sounds like your float is sticking, but my wife's Deluxe has had issues with her LED flushmounts. The lights will drop to none and trigger the low fuel light when she is riding and still has maybe 2-2.5 gallons of fuel left. No matter what I ride, I always monitor fuel based upon mileage.

 

just a word to the wise, based upon my experience. I use both the guage and mileage. a while back, my guage was broken, but i thought, no big deal, as I always rode by milease anyway. on a trip back to colorado from nebraska, as I hit the colorado border and started the slow climb from the plains to denver, i later sputtered into the gas station. as it turned out, my mileage has dropped from a "normal" 48 mpg to about 33, due to the elevation rise and a head wind. when i got back home, i fixed the guage and now use both, with the guage as a "check" on my mileage.
