ignition timing question
i added a set of andrews 26h cams to my bike. im sure the cams changed the timing of the bike so would i need to adjust the timing on the bike using the timing mode in the powercommander..the stock timing is -3.5/40 intake .. 41/-1.5 exhaust .. the 26h cams are 11/35 intake and 41/09 exhaust so would somthing need to be adjusted....thanks

The numbers you listed are for valve event timing not ignition timing. Would you gain more power by changing the Ignition timing in the PCIII? Most likely you would bu tthis is something to do on a dyno so you can seeyour gains or losses.
I just did a 26 build and I enden up adding 5 degrees of timing at 80 and 100kPa, I ended up with 85hp and 98tq.

to be honest ,i dont think im getting those kinda numbers out of my bike..wish i did..im still tinkering with a problem i have with the bike and i was told it might be a ignition timing thing..i did take your advice and ordered the new IAC motor and sensor but i wont get it till tuesday..im not going to get my hopes up that will cure my cold starting problem..if i understood how the numbers work in a colum on my pc3 ,i would try to add different numbers and see if it helped..in a nut shell the bike (i think) is running way to rich and nothing i do to the maps help..somthing has changed somwhere along the lines that has made the bike run rich when before it was running too lean (decel popping alot). thanks doc for your reply..
