Can anyone explain this system to me?&nbsp\\; I just read about it in my owners manual and it said that it shipped from the facory turned off.&nbsp\\; They list a procedure to turn it on.&nbsp\\; My question is what is it, and do you guys turn it on?&nbsp\\; Any pros/ cons of the system?&nbsp\\; I am new to Harleys and I am paranoid of over heating the motor.&nbsp\\; Thanks.

 

Once it gets over 300 degrees is reduces idle speed. If it continues to heat up it enrichens the afr. If it continue to heat up while stationary it skips fueling the cylinders every other intake stroke.

 

Hehe sorry that is normal heat management. The EITMS turns off the rear cylinder at 300 degree while idling and stopped.

 

So do most people turn on this sytem on there bike?&nbsp\\; According to the manual the bike comes from the factory with the system turned off.&nbsp\\; Are there pros and cons of using the system?
