I am new here and hope you can help me. I have a 96 RT and have developed a high idle problem. Have check for error codes and have changed the intake seals. The Idle Air Control will not kick down to normal idle. Has anyone had this issue?

 

This is a common problem with the MM EFI IAC motor....the dealer can check or set it with the digital tech

 

DOC 1 thanks for the reply. Is there a known cause for this problem? Does it have anything to do with the heat sensor not working correctly? Once I solve this, how can I prevent this from happening again?

 

If it was the TEMP sensor the bike would have other running issues. As far as prevention...if you find out how to stop electrical things to stop breaking please let me know....lol
