gotta go to auto zone only place around w bike batt. will any 12 volt bike batt work?

 

If you haven't gone yet, they should be able to give you the required dimensions. Bike batteries aren't cheap. Interested to hear how it turned out.

 

Careful... get the highest cold cranking amps you can find, and still good luck with it. I know a lot of people have good luck with Autozone batteries etc.... but not me... only HD batteries will crank my 86 Evo over.

 

no luck tonite there or walmart. got it on a charger overnite. hope it takes a charge. i think its the original batt 1998

 

Sears Kmart and Oreilly auto parts sell an AGM battery that is 285 CCA (cold crank amps) it's not much less than the HD and starts my 11 to 1 CR shovelhead...
I think Drag Specialties top batterry is 310 CCA.

I think the one I bought from Wal Mart was only 270 CCA.... 285 would probably work for you. My dad's RK is a 2004, and the original battery just died. He uses a battery tender or trickle charger (or whatever it's called), but it still died.
