Default Springer Experts...

I have a question, Harley makes a Chrome Springer Horn kit and they say it fits '88-later FXSTS models (does not fit FLSTS or FLSTSC.) I have a FLSTSCI and I have compaired it to a FXSTS and do not see any difference as far as where the horn mounts, witch would be on the top shock bolt under the head light.
Do you think they are saying this because the wiring is not there for a horn on mine????

Thanks
Barry

It has to be because of the wiring which shouldn't be a big problem to hook up. That horn setup for the fxsts is the nostalgic looking horn from the old time springers but it is not the stock location of an fxsts horn. So i'm saying if this comes for the fxsts then it must have longer wiring to reach the stock horns plug location which probably has a different end than your fl. How many wires and what colors do you have on your horn, i can compare that to my fx and help you find the difference. As far as putting it on it looks to me like a direct bolt on unless your fl has a larger headlight than the fx and the bracket won't fit hope this can help ya somewhat let me know

The headlight is the same, everthing looks the same. I compaired bikes at the dealer
but they did not have a clue. There are 2 wires going to my horn, didn't check the
colors but I do know that would mean one is pos. and one is neg. because the horn
is rubber mounted. If the only difference is the wires that would not be a problem.
Thanks for the reply and your help!

I want one of those horns for my classic too. No issues at all? I wonder why they say it doesn't fit?
