In all honesty any map from a SERT download voids your warranty. Can they tell you put a map in your bike....yes they can. The Dealer wants you to pay them to download the map.

+1 I had my dealer do my stage1 at the 1000 miles service...so they honored all my warranty issues without question. So it's a tough call but I decided to keep the warranty intact by doing that and ended up getting new fuel injectorsand several other issues resolved under warranty that did outweigh the $100 I paid for the labor. Plus they did my 1000 service for free and included synthetic fluids as well. So WTH?

well I had them do the first one when I put my ac and slipons on at my 1000 and to tell you the truth is sucks but so now I'm putting on duals and don't really want them to put another canned map in there. Can they tell which map they put In and which one I do?

If for example the chrome peels on your wheel and they won't honour the warranty due to a sert, call a lawyer. Only a component to have failed due to the sert can be denied. That's fair enough , the rest is their chicken **** way of trying to weasle out their obligations.

Correct rbabos,

A sert does not "void your warranty". It your tranny fails it will be covered, if your fork seals fail they will be covered. If you fry a piston or valve, you are most likley on your own. In other words if there is any way that the sert could cause the problem, it may not be covered.

That might very well be true....for the last 10 years I only been in the performance end of things and I forgot that there are other things that are covered under warranty....lol...sorry, I stand corrected.

Yes they are good maps for the price ($50). I have one and it runs great. But make sure your mods are exactly the same ones as the bike they dynoed or it won't work well.
