Has anyone out there ever had to replace the ignition switch on 2002 softail. Mine has a slite short when you jiggle it. What I need to know is, when you change it how can you keep your original key. I would like to because of the fork lock.

Thanks you guys, Turns out that I dissasembled the switch ,cleaned it, sanded it with scotch brite,regreased it and reassembled it, now its fine. Didn't know it was so easy to disasemble one.
