I just got back from having my UC tuned. The tuner emailed me the map he created but I can't open it. I get the error message "Unsupported File Type Detected" and "This file type is: HD-V176".The Race Tuner software loaded on my computer is version is 4.6.2. Is the problem that my software is older/newer than the dyno guy's?

 

I would copy the file to disc and take it back to the tuner and have him correct the problem. If you purchased a SERT and they tuned your bike they should provide you with a map, that you can use, or give you your money back.

 

It can depend on what version it was created with. Do you know what version?

 

I purchased the SERT a while back and it came with software version 4.6.2. The tuner just replied to my email saying that he uses software version 4.7.7, so I'm guessing that is the problem. My software part number is 32117-01J, he says I need 32117-01N. Is my only option to buy it from the stealer or can I download it somewhere?

 

Looks like your Tuner has tuned your bike with the 477v of the software which is the latest and 'last' version of the SERT. The 462v had a 159 calibration MT5 file for your bike but in the 477v the 159calswhere replaced with the 176 calibrations MT6files, however the 462v MT5 files, which you have on your computer, will not read or open the 477v MT6 files. You can click on 'continue'when you get the error code and copy/paste each table into the 159 calibration, or get yourself a copy of the 477v software.
