Default PCIII Tuning

When looking at the Power Commander site and searching for Dyno tuning shops/dealers I see some listed with Tuning Link Software but most are not.

Anyone know what Tuning Link Software is and is it important that a shop have it.

Not a big fan of the PCIII myself, but if that is what you want to use, then yes I would say they should have the software if they are going to tune it. If they put it on the dyno they will still need the program to coincide with the dyno results.

Tuning Link is a self adjusting program that isLEASED to the dealers for about $1400.00 a year. It only requires the operator to hold the throttle at the position the program calls for and the tuning link program does all the fuel adjustments. It take a 3.5 to 4.0 hour job and makes it into a 1.0 hour job. If a shop did several PCIII's a year it would be worth it....is it necessary to tune a PCIII? No it's not necessary but it sure makes iteasy.

Thanks for the information. I have one dealer in a 50 mile area of me that is listed as having the Tuning Link. Makes sense now why most don't have it.

is this tune better or worse than a " hand " tuned map?
