I've heard you want to hit the run button, listen for the fuel pump priming, and hit start before the priming stops. My '06 Fat Boy starts normally but I have heard of hard starts and that's how folks were dealing with them. As far as the popping, does your map account for you not having baffles?

Starting issues have very little to do with bolt ons. There is no real air flow at that point.

True whittlebeast - I think thePC is the cause for the hard starts. The popping may be caused by a map that doesn't account for the removal of the baffles.

Tom is right. This is a known power commander issue. Take Tom's advice and hit the start button as soon as you hear the fuel pump start.

Gentleman, I thank you for the guidance i will be sure to try it. The map is designed for baffle removal with V&H pipes, I have bell tips. Today was colder than normal and the bike stumbled a bit between shifts until it was warm....is this also a known problem or am i runnin rich?

Plugs will ultimately tell the story. I had no popping issues when I installed my PC but if I did, I think I'd look into taking it to a Dyno guy. To get that machine running fine, it would be well worth it.
