Sorry to hear about your troubles cruiser85257. Kinda makes me a little worried if I mine starts acting up. Sounds like they just want our money and they are done with us. Kinda had my eye on the thunder-max anyway. I just wanted to wait a few years before doing internal mods . Mine seems to be working for now, so I'll ride it out.

Cruiser
Think about the money you have already spent. For crying out loud find a good tuner and get it done right. 300.00 is a drop in the bucket if you can not stress over it.

I have a good Tuner from the last Bike. The Bike ran like a scalded dog.

Honestly though, I just want it to run a tad richer. I don't care about how much HP and Torque I can squeeze out of it. I even took the K&N and Rush mufflers off the other day. I just want a good running bike without all the heat.

So are you saying if I download a new map to richen it up a little I won't be happy?

Thanks for the write-up. I'm still on the fence as to what to use for a fuel tuner but after reading your post I know it won't be a TVII. Good luck with your SERT. I hope it does the job for you.

That is what I am saying. You have been through a power commander, a tv and the nightrider ied's. You will not be happy until you know for a fact it is running the way you want it. The only way to do that for sure is to pay for the dyno tune with a good tuner. It will either keep your hair attached or keep it from turning gray...

Tick Tock, I am not unhappy with the IED's from Nightrider. The engine is running cooler, no decel popping and my fuel mileage is OK. My deal for the Race Tuner fell through and to be honest I feel relieved. I'm done messing around for a while.

I haven't had any real luck with anything except the IED's. So I should quit while I am ahead.

I'm serious when I say I'm not looking for a Race Bike. I don't care if it's 70 HP or 74 HP. I don't ride my Bike WOT all the time. In fact mostly just cruise nice and easy. So fuel mileage is important to me. When I had the Yellow Bike Dyno Tuned with the SERT it had *****. But it also sucked up the gas. I'm just not looking for that again.

After all the **** luck I have had all I want is a Good running Bike. I have that right now. I prefer to keep what hair I have left and not have it turn any greyer.

Thanks

Tick Tock:

What's new on your ride? Have you added anything else lately?

I added IDS about3 months ago. After my last tune with #67 as the base (and basically timing from #78) my bike runs great. I am just riding it these days and . As a matter of fact I am ready for a road trip. Nothing like packing a bag on the back of your bike and just going somewhere. The only problem is that you finally get there...

Yeah, I know that feeling. I always enjoy the trip there the most.

I did the IDS too. I never lugged the Bike to begin with so I really had no noise complaint. But it did smooth things down quite a bit and now I can use 6th gear below 70.
