Default Dead battery, new bike

Have an '07 SG, 'bout five months old. Came out this morning, deader than a door nail. Now, this is a bike that is ridden everyday, it's got almost 7,000 miles in those five months. Anybody else having battery problems on new bikes?

Oh, BTW, the bike has now been checked for current draws, etc, nothing. The bike started the night before and wouldn't start 12 hours later. The battery was so dead they couldn't test it.

It happens. A buddy of mine bought a new 07 bagger. 1200 miles later, the battery took a chit! It was covered under warrenty.

Either a plate or connection inside the battery broke. It happens sometimes. Warranty fix.

Got the battery back from the dealer, took a charge fine. Let it sit a couple of days now, put it back in, dead. They're going to warranty it

They could have charged it fully and load tested it and found it has a dead cell and saved you the trouble.
