cruiser85257, I have the IED on my bike now. I like the way they are almost invisible. My question is the extremes as small so you can hide them as well.

Cruiser 85257:

Old style Screamin Eagle II slip-ons (2005), SE air cleaner replaced with K&N and download for air cleaner, otherwise stock.

So I built my own for under $10.
What connectors did you use and where did you get them?...I was told the connectors cost about $30....:&gt
I purchased all my parts from mouser electronics except the wire and heat shrink tubing. though you could even buy those there too if you want. I would be happy to list the parts i got if everyone thinks its ok to post it. I don't want to step on any toes.

I have on 08 ultra and with the temperature 78 degrees the heat coming off the engine was very hot. This is the first time riding at this temperature. I will buy and install the Nightriders O2 IED device but how difficult is it to install. Cutting wires etc. is not something I want to do.

No wire cutting, have to cut some plastic tiesoff the front 02 wires, then unplug the 02 wire and plug the IED's up, then use some plastic ties to secure everything. Do not bend the IED's in the middle, where it is heaver coated, can be bent on end wires. That all there is to it.

If you can successfully plug in a lamp cord, you can successfully install IED's.

I did it, and while I'm a fairly decent mechanic, I'm about as electrically challenged as they come... [sm=alcoholic.gif]

HogHeaven:

If your Bike is like mine and all you want is a cooler engine, the XIED's will be sufficient to do the job.

ItsmyForte:

There's information around for how to build them. I don't think it's appropriate to post your recipe in someone elses Kictchen.
