Here's a link to an article that had HD do a remap of some ecm's.

Thanks for posting that tidbit.
I was aware of the bulletin but could not find the actual release from the company.
Steve is working on what may be the fix for those of you stuck with the problems that the 06 Dyna's are having.
More testing is in the works once he narrows it down.

RE: Nightrider O2 IED's - Field Test
I'm going to keep my replacement IEDs and let my brother-in-law try them out on his 2007 RoadKing.
Keep us informed of any fixes for us 06 Dyna owners.
I screwed up with retrieving the codes. I didn't have the run/stop switch in the run position.
I only found that out cause I had a check engine light come on today. I had stopped at a store and when I restarted the bike it came on for 4 seconds then went out.
So I double checked the procedure and found that both sensors showed a lean condition and that the rear sensor wasn't responding. I did find that somehow one of the wires in the rear connector came out of the slot.
I cleared the codes and will see what happens in the morning and report back.

Are you going to order the new Extreme version?
Are you going to order the new Extreme version?
Been reading this forum/thread from the beginning and was just ready to pull the trigger when Crusier started gushing about the XIED.
Still checking the Nightrider website but no price or availability as yet.
I was thinking about the IED till the bike was broken-in and then perhaps upgrade to the XIED.
Cheers

RE: Nightrider O2 IED's - Field Test
I have an '06 fxdbi in which I today rode for the first time with
IED's installed. No codes nor check engine light.
If it had more power, it was insignificant. The bike did have a
slightlylower exhaust tone. What I do no for sure, is the
decel is significantly less. Still some, but no more than my
'02 Heritage had. My bike has the old style screamin eagle II
slip-ons, screamin eagle air box, but at 10,000 miles I replaced
filter with K&N. Also has Harley download. Bike was built in 03/2006.Hopefully, the no throwing codes or check engine light will not occur in future.
