Double check your ECU plug. It may not be seated. Check the contacts in it also. Should be bright and clean with no dirt in there.

Woud the stage 1 download benefit a stock bike with no slip on's? Does the stage 1 void your warranty?
Stg 1 download AND IED's are what I have and it is great! You must be going to a hi-flo A/C right?

Thanks Labfreak. Can you be more specific as to what changes you saw with the stage one download, and then adding the O2 IED?

I was going to try it without the filter first and then either a big sucker or K&N replacement. I have a 110 08 Roadking and the thing runs strong for a stock bike. I have the IED's on it already, I want the 6200 limit that you get with the download.

Why get the Stage 1 download when you already have pipes and IED ????
For me it's one specific thing that seems to happen at least once per ride
Uphill short entrance ramp onto the freeway / heavy traffic / need to be running around 75 MPH when I try to merge / need a couple more RPM in each gear so I can ride while I'm looking over my shoulder trying to sneak into the lane.
The increased rev limit to 6200 gives you a couple more MPH in each gear and just makes it easier to do the above - it may not seem like a race, but it is!!

I agree, that few hundred rpm increase could be very helpfullwhen making uphill passes too.

I don't have any pipes or slip on. I just have the IED's. I agree with the benefits of the 6200 rev limit. I think I will get it done soon. The dealer here charges $140, so not too much.

I guess I just ride different than you all. I don't have the stage one download or the increased rev limiter. I have no problem what so ever hitting 70 mph plus. In fact when I usually look down at the speedometer I'm going over 70, and still have a few gears to go. It's just a stock bike with Rush slip ons and a pair of IED's. I've never hit the rev limiter since I have owned the bike.

You got it RSOFA. If you want a little better breathing Steve recommends the K&N replacement filter HD1499. I'm personally running right now with the stock air box and I like the way it runs. Oh and I have the Rush slip ons with 2 inch baffles.

Ride safe and enjoy.
Wouldn't more air lean it out???? Or have I missed something here?

I don't normally hit the rev limiter but it has happend a few times when I could have wished for a few more revs, mainly in the mountains with lots of curves.Think about it,shifting to a higher gear takesmore timein a critical situation than just getting it done.Yeah we've all been there and done that.
