Man you guys are some else. I took the weekend OFF! LOL

As far as installing the LC1. Following the installation instructions that come with it. Pay close attention to the routing of the wiring and the placement of the modules. I varied mine just a little with the rear jug.
I got a hold of some heat resistant wire loom and combined all the wiring from the rear jug area into one that is just a little neater for my taste. Things like the starter wiring, O2 wiring, pigtail for the battery tender and pigtail for the heated gloves. I did not do anything like that for the front jug, just the recommended placement.

After installation I took it into the emissions lab and ran various tests on it to see what I could do.
The 1st test showed I had a AFR of 14.1:1, front and rear. While this would be fair at sea level, I wanted something just a little richer up here in the high desert. Using the Scan-A-Lyzer I remapped the AFR fron 1500 RPM to 3500 RPM to 13.3:1. At 4000 RPM I locked the ECU in test mode for closed loop to deliver 13.8:1 AFR at cruise.

I started with a front temp of 320F at the junction of the exhaust port and 310F at the cyl base.
With just the IED's installed the same locations resulted in readings of 280F and 270F at the same locations.
Not changing the map, I installed the LC1's and took reading at the locations and readings were 260F and 250F.
The AFR changed to 13.1:1 throughout the 1500 to 4000 rpm range. Too rich for my riding habits. A remap of those ranges got me back to 13.3: 1 from 1500 to 3500 and 13.8:1 at 4000.

Be careful when using crimp connectora and the taps. Seal them with liquid electrical tape. DO NOT go near the end of the insulation causing a seal. (breathing, remember?)
After this past week end I ended up with 92hp with the jugs shaved .015.
Throttle response was great with just the IED's installed but with the LC1's and the remap it got even better.

I would say they have my full endorsement at this point

Thanks Rider57, lots of good info here.

Since the LC1's can be adjusted to any AFR, what AFR did you find works best and why?

It is probably warmer here than anywhere. So here goes IED testing yesterday. High 70's low 80's. Ran out of town, down the highway, over the big bridge. came back the say way and got stuck in traffic for boat bridge. Checked temps 330 front 355 back. Also checked the bike next to me(06 SE103, Rineharts, SE ac, sert),265 front, 280 rear.Rode all day came home 10pm. Pulled the plugs today and front is light brown and rear is anice tan. After reading everyones post,SE ac Bub7 td andIEDs the temps seem to tell meI am back to stock.Tomorrow I am going back to stock ac, should be just right. By the way, Haywood727, riding with a guy yesterday on a kaw, said my pipes were too quiet, then i got on it.At the light he said they are quiet when they need to be. Yep!!!!!! THE BEST SOUNDING BAGGER AROUND HERE.

True that flomastr...The pipe's are incredible. They sound way better than what my videos could produce. I rolled on it merging on to a freeway. I agree..they are the best sounding TD's in my opinion. Turns a ton of heads and everyone has to take a look at what they are.

Flomastr, glad to see your plugs lightened up from the other day. It should be interesting to see what happens when you put the stock air kit back on. It should richen up the mix a little more and produce cooler temps. Good Luck...

cruiser, I settled for 13.8:1 for this altitude and my riding habits.
I am still getting the information together for Steve on all the tests.
BTW, both plugs on my 07RG are tan and have been that way for the past 8 months.
I will wait another 2500 miles after shaving .015 off the jugs to see the results. I suspect that they wont change much.
