Duel HID lighting for the RG. Talked to FastHarley and ordered them...they're on their way from Florida as we speak. Great guy. Has lots of advice. Talked to him for a while yesterday.

Gidday Guys
Excellent topic and results here
I am geeting an FXDC next week and after reading this whole thread I have ordered the Nightrider IED's so I can keep the bike stock for while until any warranty issues reveal their ugly heads
What would be good would be for someone to post some pics or a diagram on relocating the IAT, I reckon this seems worth doing as well
Thanks to all for their efforts in making this easy to understand and worth doing

The pipes??? The service manager told me there was a bit of a learning curve. These are the first BUB7 TD's they've seen. The whole shop loved them. I didn't ask what the problem or lack of because I was too jacked about the bike being there.
They fired it up and drew a crownd. Even when I went for my walk through, The shop came out to hear them again. They have to be, bar none the best sounding duels on a semi stock bike that I've heard. It was well worth every penny I paid for them.
The IED's really rock them now. Crisp and hard on start up. Lots of pop on idle.
The HID's are going to be cool as well

Hi from Perth Western Australia
Sorry for the late addition to your IED thread. The above link will take you to the Aussie thread on the same subject.

Our Aussie 07/08 Harleys are HDI international/European spec. They have ECM controlled flap valves in the inlet and exhaust, all about noise reduction,We have pissed these off mechanically over a year ago,but the latest SERT can disable them. You still have to physically remove them though!!
WHY OF INTEREST TO YOU IN THE US? YOU'LL PROBABLY GET THEM ON DOMESTIC US BIKES SOONISH...
As a point of interest, the air intake "hole" on our standard airboxes is 2.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall or deep. That's with the inlet flap pissed off (hacksawed!!). With a standard airbox K&NHD-1499 drop in air filter we get plenty of air in.I suspect your standard US bike air inlet hole will be smaller??
Our bikes boogie now, with Rush 1.75 inch baffles and the Nightrider O2 IED's. The bikes run cooler and are much more grunty in the mid range than before.Betterexhaust note as well with less popping on decel.Well worth the grief of getting them from theUS to Australia.

Welcome to the state side version gmeikle. My son lives in Hervey Bay, just north of Brisbane.
Guys, this weekend I will try and take some pics to show how to relocate the IAT, as well as dome detailed instructions on hole size and location on the stock backing plate.
