Fuel mileage is much better and I must say that in comparison, the heat coming off my motor is not much different.
Did you contact Steve at Nightriders to discuss your problem?

Clearly the title of this thread needs to be changed to "Let's insult each other".

"You mama wears army boots!"

"Oh yeah, well your friends are ugly."

Very different, confined quarters. I don't regret doing it!

Berthing compartment, not rooms. We were stacked in like cord wood. Each cubical was 12 men, stack 3 high two deep with a 2' walk thru between the next stack of guys! Essentially, an area 6' wide by 12' deep with 12 people! That compartment held the entire division of my group. Don't remember how many guys, but somewhere around 100 guys. including Officers sleeping berths. Then a small TV room area. Petty Officers and Chiefs had their own small berthing area contained within. Ship had 5000 people on it, todays are a bit larger. Had close to 90 Aircraft, including choppers.

That must have taken quite a bit of getting used to. 5000 people is more than a lot of small cities in the USA has for a total population. You must have quite a collection of stories from your experience.

Again, let me say Thank You for protecting our Freedom.

You're welcome!

With a ship that big, 5 acres of flight deck and personnel, you can go weeks without seeing a buddy! My entire time on that thing, I never did see the entire ship! If you ever see one in person, up close and personal, it is a incredible sight to see, just the massive size of it all! Flight deck to water line, 90'! Then another 5-6 stories on top of the flight deck, known as the, Super Structure!

Have a look around, I think you may find this interesting. Aircraft of my era.
