I do have the stage 1 flash for the timing and VE tables. They are not enough for an 08 Touring model with FBW throttle with TD exhaust. They tried and it was too lean and hot. There was never any holes in the map. It just wan not rich enough to cool it down.
&nbsp\\;
MOCO said it was good enough and the warranty is intact with the pipes I choose to put on. It was one of the few TD's that were accepted by MOCO.

The FP was my dealers idea after they seen the heat score. The step from the IED's to the XIED's was mine. The FP is still under EPA and CARB. It still would have run too hot without the XIED's. How many heatshields do you think Bub Enterprises was going to pay for at $129 a shot?

Just ordered the VIED's to play with on the sporty. It's just getting slipons and I plan on opening up the AC.

I wonder how many dealers are willing to jeopardise their business and be hung out to dry by the EPA for deviating from the 14.7 AFV? If it's a legit download it's going to stay within the allowable range by law.

Glens an EPA certified lab tested the afr of the ied at 142 and xied at 138. Results were posted to this forum by rider57 many pages back. This information is as authoritative as you can get.

Glens My original temperature data was taken with thermocouples. This was not repeatable by the average rider. Riders on this forum developed their own IR thermometer protocol, which they used to document in great detail the expected temperature drops. I appreciate the hard work of these riders.

Glens,

I posted my dyno results for my bone stock 110 CVO (international) with XIED's earlier in this thread, but here they are again. I assume the dyno tester knows his job, he seems to be proficient in PCIII. The sheet shows no overly rich AFR. We also did some testing with partial throttle openings at constant rpm's (closed and open loop ranges), however he could not make any print-outs. At first we got some overly rich AFR readings in open loop (in closed loop they were somewhere around 13,8) and the tester believed it might be too rich, but after the tester adjusted the load of the dyno to mimic real road conditions the AFR came in above 12,5-13 and the tester was of the opinion that the AFR was fine (he normally tunes the PCIII to a 13,5 and the XIED's did not give a much different ratio).

quote however he could not make any print-outs end&nbsp\\;quote

I love that answer.&nbsp\\;I wonder if that has to do with EPA and proof that the operator and dealer is messing with street bikes?
