Could not agree more with you.They do exactly what they are advertised to do.They were designed with the average rider in mind who basically rides the bike stock or stock with air kit and or slip ons.

stmpulr, I think you're pretty smart for asking the questions you're asking. Without manufacturer's documentation, you have to be a little sceptical of what you read here. BTW, I'm very pleased with the XIED's on my stock 08 EGC.

 

My motor is bone stock, when cruising and roll on the throttle fairly hard, I get ping! The POS stealer basically says there is nothing they will do. He even mentioned to rider her hard and blow her up! What a dick! Now, my question is, will the IED's help when I roll the on the go and help alleviate some of&nbsp\\;the ping??

 

I am going to notify HD via e-mail, curious to see how they want to side step the issue..

&nbsp\\;guess for a band aid for now, I will try the IED. Got off the phone with HD, I got a reference ## for this situation so I will now wait and see between the stealer and HD, says about this ping. On a side note, unless HD gets a grip on their tuning, we can expect a lot more issues with ping in the 2010 model year, as ALL bikes will be EPA CARB compliant!
