NO.
NMFXSTC if you have a SERT and a good Dyno tune you DON'T want IED.
It's for guys STOCK or NEARLY STOCK.

I agree, on My 07 Ultra I had the Stage 1 kit, When I put the TDs on the HD Mech told me to put the stock air box back on, and then I added the IEDs. What a difference, running much cooler and seems to have more punch.

Did the stage one make much of a difference?

I been running IED's for 5 months. I previously posted about their reduction in idle RPM and&nbsp\\;their improvement in 5th and 6th gear roll on.
&nbsp\\;
Now as far as reducing temps their affect is negligible. I have measured on 60 degree days and 90 degree days, stock mufflers and SE mufflers, IED's on and IED's off in all possible combos on the same days and same driving conditions. On everything being equal on the same day there has never been over a 10 degree difference which could easily be a measurment error as little as a quarter inch.
&nbsp\\;
If someone says they are dropping temps 100 degrees with the IED's they got something else going on cause it ain't happening on an 07 UC with the lowers on.

The EG's seem to run a little hotter.

I will now endorce any stock bike to run ViEDs set to near 14 AFR and adjusted to get even&nbsp\\;response from both o2s. Note: I am very picky on EFI and drivability. Stock it was totally unacceptable.

update on My SG - had Xied's since got bike in June - I installed V&amp\\;\\\\\\;H Oval slipons yesterday. Bike runs and sounds great - did seem cooled to my right leg though. I noticed on thing. when i removed the stick pipes, there was alot of black carbon (exhaust). is this normal ? also when i first start up my bike and rev it to let say 4k RPM - there is a blask of black smoke till about 1 min after engine warms up... thinking of removing Xied\\\\\\;s to see if different. no Error codes or engin light. New to HD so looking for feedback,
ride safe.BTW - the V&amp\\;\\\\\\;H sound awesome... Bike has 1000km now..is this normal ?

OK, forgive me in advance as I am a little confused.&nbsp\\; If you put the Heavy Breather on, the catalogue says that you must do a Stage I download.&nbsp\\; My question is: What does the Stage I download really do other than increase the rev limiter to 6200?&nbsp\\; If it's factory, it is not "permitted" to&nbsp\\; enrichen&nbsp\\;the mixture.&nbsp\\; I've been told by Steve (Nightrider) that the XiED's will handle the Heavy Breather.&nbsp\\; Is there anyone out there who has had&nbsp\\; actual experience with the Heavy Breather/Pipes??/downloads vs XiED's?&nbsp\\; Enlighten this old Man...thanks[sm=dontgetit.gif]
