There needs to be room both sides of the target voltage from the sensor, it is not a steady-state-response device. When it gets to the point where the normal voltage swings go beyond the linear range of the device, it becomes inaccurate. It could be reporting 11.8 as 13.8, who can say? It was not meant for the ranges of O2 the XIEDs take the exhaust stream to

Even if you want to bury your head in the sand about what they do to the open-loop operation, that should be enough to cause any reasonable person to shy away from the X models.

I think .5 AFR is about the target that was aimed for with the IEDs.
&nbsp\\;
I am planning to utilize one XIED and one adjustable version to better ballance/calibrate the two o2s that are on my bike.&nbsp\\;The XIED will be on the leaner of the two and I will calibrate with the adjustable version on the fat o2. The ballancing will be based on the PW of the two cylinders compared to when the bike was stock.

Check out those X'd O2 voltages! Could be representing 13.8 or 3.8! They are flatlined, should be swinging.

Whittle, you need to combine your datalogging with concurrent logging of wide-band O2 sensors to get the full picture here.

Glen
&nbsp\\;
That is part of why I want to do the one XIED and one adjustable device trick.
&nbsp\\;
If you look at the o2 integrators, you will see that things are working as designed.&nbsp\\; If not, the o2 integrator will head straight for the rails.

I just installed a set of adajustable VIEDs to get the ability to fine tune the o2s. I wanted to get neatly identical response from both cylinders.&nbsp\\;This trace compares the response with the three setups. Stock, XIED and VIED. The VIEDs were fine tuned to get the data logs to show PW behavior and o2 behavior.&nbsp\\;I need to get some miles on the bike to get the ADVs to home in before I can compare much else.&nbsp\\;I will post more logs later.

Kool graphs but WTH is it you are graphing? Obviously a noticeable difference between stock and the X's but what am I looking at? O2 sensor output voltage? What?

Tx.

Look at the clipping going on in the O2 and PW waveforms as compared to stock...

Definitely bouncing hard off the edge of the sensor range.

Do you have a chart of a standard IED?

The green and red traces at the bottom is the voltage of the o2s as seen by the ECU.&nbsp\\; The range on&nbsp\\;all of those grapghs is 0 to 1 volt (or 0 - 1000 mV)&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Stock the front sensor runs from .22 to 1.02 volts and the rear goes .04 to about .90 volts
&nbsp\\;
Adjusted they both&nbsp\\;max out at about .60 and spend about the same&nbsp\\;percentage of time below .5 volts.
