Nightrider O2 IED's - Field Test

RE: Nightrider O2 IED's - Field Test
Moving the IAT makes a lot of sense if your trying to fool a system. We experimented with this on our race car. Moved it from the intake manifold runner to the intake infront of the TB and found the car ran richer which worked when we could not tune out a problem. Im looking at ACs right now and will do these with the AC and stage 1 down load. When the day comes that I can afford a 110 kit then Ill spend the bucks for a sert. Until then this seems to fix the big issues.

Zippers Performance has a IAT relocation kit, you won't find it online
you have to call them. I had one on my Springer, very nice kit, comes
with a block off plate, srews, gasket and a exstension ( wire and connector).
All you do is remove the sensor from the stock location, install the block off
plate, installthe sensor in the A/C backing plate... I think the cost was around $11.

The IED's that I put on my 2008 SG will only effect the AFR during idle and steady cruise - correct? What about the IAT relocation? The same - or does it richen the AFR 100% of the time?
The theory seems pretty simple - if the ECM "thinks" it's cooler out - it would richen the mix.
Why haven't we all already done this? What's the downside - if any
Sorry - lot of questions but it's 22 degrees with 8 inches of snow in NE Ohio - not much else to do

OK, adding my $0.02...installed my IED's, toook a 300mi ride up Columbia Gorge last weekend, two-up, wife and I..I noticed a smoother cruise, my mpg dropped from 44 to 42 mpg which is what I expected, smoother throttle response, and checkd my plugs, nice light brown instead of the previous white...summary, I am very pleased..like Steve at Nightrider toldme, the difference is subtle, yet noticeable.
