Nightrider O2 IED's - Field Test

RE: Nightrider O2 IED's - Field Test
Just took delivery of a 08 RoadGlide. No driveability problems such as the ones reported here, well except for the friggin heat!
Build date of 5/15, and took delivery 5/25.
Talked to Steve yesterday and ordered a set of the Xied's. He also seem to think that HD has done an upgrade in the cpu on the driveability issues.

1K service saturday morning and then to the dyno for some baseline pulls. I'll do a before/after pull with the Xieds to check the a/f #'s

RE: Nightrider O2 IED
Man, some real misinformation floating through this thread!
I even saw one of the main gurus in this thread saying somewhere not too far back
that the current Delphi engine control system has no long-term adaptive capabilities!
Just as soon as (if) this forum software gets straightened out I'll post the lengthy reply
I've typed out.
Stay tuned. In the mean time, search for posts by me from about this time last year up
until I quit hanging out hear sometime in December. I had a lot to say in great detail about
most of this stuff, even before this product started to get marketed.

The reason I asked was because the person had some comments from the service
manager (at the dealer) about the wires and warranty issues.
I checked mine and both codes were showing. I went ahead and cleared them and
will see if they come back. No big deal to go in and clear them each time I take
the bike in for service.

they've been thrown historically when he hooks up his Digital Technician.
What I'm suggesting is that if he's going to be a ***** about it, when he sees
the history, checks the ECU and sensors and finds proper functionality, he'll be
able to say you've been dicking with it and he'll have his "out".
I'll try to refrain from posting further until they get this (crap)
Microsoft-server-running software fixed. I hate the way it's escaping the
punctuation just now.
Peace out.
