Just installed my XiED's man what a difference in low end power! I only rode about 3 miles so far but the low end seems way better and the idle doesn't feel as rough either.....Is there any learning curve the ECM has to learn or is it instant difference ???? Seems the pipes used to sound best when the bike was cold for some reason now they sound the same all the time I like them better!!

No,your ecm will not change anything on the bike, theXied's just alter the signal that they are sending to the ecm and the ecm responds by enriching the mixture.I noticed that the motor with the Xied's installed sounded richer (better) also,Plus the bike IS more powerfull period.

I reported a few weeks ago that i thought these IDE's was killing my gas mileage, but found out that a stealership that i had put on a new tire has screwed my brakes up.I have a wicked braked drag now. I have took thefront tire off and cleaned the brakes three times and still have drag. Any thoughts on how to fix this problem? Oh by the way, my right disk was on left side, i changed it and it releaved some of the drag problem.

Finally got my new K&N RK-3909 Air Cleaner Kit installed. It makes quite a difference between mid and high end. Everything sounds beautiful with the XiED and the Vance & Hines. Best $89 I've spent on the bike so far. Next up... big bore kit

Took my scoot on a 260 mile ride today and averaged 53.33333333 mpg. Bear in mind I am a conservative rider,I run 93 octand gas with no oxygenates and kept the speed mostly below 65 on state 2 laners with numerous(about 30) one horse towns with limits as low as 25mph. I wouldconclude the XiED's have not hurt or improved fuel economy in my case anyway. But it sure runs better and noticeably cooler.

I've had my IED's on since 1 April and have logged over 2500 miles since then. I noticed my bike sounded better right off and seemed to run better. I can't tell if my temps are down, but had to remove my lowers after the weather warmed up. My last 4 tanks of gas averaged 40.8 mpg in mixed city and highway driving. I changed my spark plugs today (10,000 miles) and have attached photos here for those who might be interested. They look real good to me. I'm happy with the IED's.
