I am a little worried that I will be leaning things out too much again, but I guess I will do the mods test take data and see...!
Nice temperatures for a triple digit day.

If your worried about leaning it out, what do your plugs look like now? I added the K&N and have Rush slip ons with 2 inch baffles and pulled my plugs the other day. They were classroom perfect. A nice hint of tan. This is the best I have ever seen my plugs look.

Another Happy Customer.

Not really sure how they perform just yet but I do wish the front one could be hidden and not stick out.

Cruiser before the 100 degree day they were white with a slight hint of tan. As I have said I am a very happy customer. I will keep posting my results - thinking of buying that head temp gauge that was posted some where in the 39 pages here... anyone else try it?

Yes I'm new but like what I have seen here. I have a 2007 Ultra Classic and will order XiEDs soon. The best mileage I have seen is 40mpg. Is that common and what will I see with the XiEDs.

Thanks

Not sure what the Ultra's are getting, but I'm seeing as high as 46 mpg with my SG.

UPDATE!

Background: 2008 Ultra, Bone stock engine, K&N a/c, Rush slip-ons with 2" baffles, V&H true duals, V&H Fuelpak, and at last...XIEDs.

Couldn't be better, cooler, better looking, better performance, gas mileage has increased (~40 mpg), no more pop on decel, no flat spots, no surge, grinds like a champ in 6th, sounds like a Harley! What could be better than that?

I just got gas tonight and only got 37mpg on that tank. We do have 10% ethanol in our gas. It seems to be going lower as time goes on. My Ultra has a stage 1 with HD performance slip-ons.
Any ideas?

37! Right out of the box my Ultra was getting 40 mpg. Then I was running stock headers, Rush mufflers and Nightrider.com LC-1s and mileage went to 34 mpg. I changed to true duals, K&N a/c and Fuelpak and removed the LC-1sand immediately went to 40. It was really screwed up....too many changes without regard to the ECM. The only reason I removed the LC-1s was the wide band O2 sensors were too long to fit on the rear V&H header. That is when I discovered the increase in gas mileage. I went to the XIEDs and have not checked the mileage since. I will give it a try tomorrow and let you know.

I currently get approximately 42mpg on my bike if I don't exceed 70mph too often. I'm hoping that with the XiED and my K&N A/C and V&H Slip-ons that this won't drop too drastic. I would like at least 38mpg. Gas in Cali is not cheap.

Well, I just ordered my XiED's through the Google shopping link that nightrider has on their website (Special Deals sales area). Only $89.00 including shipping. It says they are the Gen 1 design but the actual electronic components are the same, but that the way they are manufactured is different. No biggie for me as I am an Electronics Engineering Tech so I think if anything happens I will easily be able to figure it out. So, hopefully they get sent out and get to my house in a little over a week.
